What we collect

This website collects personal information only when you send us a message through the contact form: your name, your email address, and, if you choose to give them, your company, your phone number and the details you write in your message.

To protect the form from abuse, we briefly record the network address your request comes from, so we can limit how many messages one connection can send in an hour. It is held in memory only and is discarded within the hour.

We measure visits with our own simple counter, run on our own server. When you visit we note the pages you open and for how long, how far you scroll, which links you click, the site that linked you here, your type of device, browser and screen size, your language and time zone, and the country and network (internet provider or organisation) your connection comes from. The country and network are looked up from your network address on our server; the address itself is not stored. Your browser also keeps a small note on your own device of how many times it has visited, so we can tell new visits from return ones. We do not set cookies, identify you by name, or use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we use it

We use what you send only to read and reply to your message: to respond to an early access request for Luna, or to discuss software you would like built. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for unrelated marketing.

Who handles it

Your message is delivered to our inbox through a third-party email delivery service, which processes it on our behalf only to deliver it.

How long we keep it

We keep your message for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it, and then delete it.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at zolani@bmsoftwares.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
